Dr. Clack ND (Ret) is currently sharing his insights in the field of Autism and ADHD and referring clients seeking naturopathic remedies to vetted practitioners.
Dr. Scott Clack, ND (Ret)
Practicing Naturopathic Medicine was a second career for Dr. Clack. As a Sales Representative for two Fortune 500 companies in the 1980’s, his interest in healthy living grew when his wife stopped suffering from migraine headaches when they stopped eating wheat, dairy and oranges in their diets. This single example gave credence to his favourite principle of Naturopathy: Treat the cause, not the symptom.
Dr. Clack graduated in 1997 from the 4-year Naturopathic Medicine program at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. His initial practice was in B.C. He and his wife moved to Ontario and he opened Touchstone Naturopathic Centre in April 2000.
A special interest in treating childhood conditions now referred to as “Neurodiversity” started in late 2000/early 2001 when he began treating 3 young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including Asperger’s Syndrome, with NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques).
More about me
Professional training in “Biomedical Treatments” for ASD and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) began in 2005 with Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) and Great Plains Laboratory physician training courses. He consulted for Great Plains from 2005 through 2010, lecturing and participating in Clinics across Canada along with continued training with Dr. William Shaw and Dr. Kurt Woeller. Most recently, he has been a member of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (www.medmaps.org) since 2019.
Dr. Clack’s practice combined the Biomedical Approach with NAET and other Naturopathic treatments, providing individualized and personalized treatment for each patient. Other treatments include:
- Constitutional homeopathy and drainage therapy
- Special Diets and Elimination Diets
- Laser acupuncture
Since he retired on March 31, 2025, Dr. Clack has been sharing his insights about neurodiversity through blogs, and through a new upcoming book about treatment ideas to help families learn how to begin and follow their journeys. He will refer families to current practitioners who can fully implement treatment programs with testing and detailed naturopathic prescriptions.
